Although my neighbors could not bear any sound I made and protest against my behavior, I never give up. 台語的諺語說，雖然上一輩平平庸庸，可是後代的能力， 卻超越了他的爸爸媽媽，這是我們會說: "歹竹出好筍!!" 可是類似的意思，英文可不是用筍子來比喻唷， 而是用黑母雞(A black hen)，卻能孵出白色雞蛋來形容。 這個句子中，有個關鍵的動詞，就是孵這個字，用 lay 來表達。 (注意它的三態是 lay laid laid,動名詞為 laying) 於是，當我們要描述 下一代比上一代好，英文就叫做: A black hen lays a white egg. 是不是很有趣呢?

這句英文該怎說呢? 由於最早起是一個要修飾動詞"早起"的"副詞最高級"， 我們要注意，當副詞的 early ,它的副詞最高級是 earliest (不是the earliest 哦), 於是這句話就變成: I got up earliest this morning. 你學會了嗎? :)

蘇打餅乾的英文，可以說成: soda cracker 或 saltine cracker 因此，這句就可以說成: I like eating the soda/saltine crackers most. 很簡單吧!:)
